Greencore® Products
A brand of engineered, environmentally responsible plastic film and bags committed to providing the highest quality products using innovative, sustainable manufacturing practices.
Greencore® is a Petoskey Plastics brand that focuses on bags and liners made with recycled material.

Our History
Greencore® became a registered trademark in 2012, but Petoskey Plastics was focusing on sustainability long before that. The company first started recycling in-house in 1978. The operation started in Petoskey, Michigan, and eventually shifted to Hartford City, Indiana, when the location was purchased and fully updated in 2008. Since then, we have doubled our recycling capacity and purchased a new wash line system.
We recycle over 30 million pounds of post-consumer and post-industrial polyethylene film annually in Hartford City. This recycling facility provides post-consumer recycled (PCR) and post-industrial (PIR) resins made from collected plastic bags, film, and stretch film that have been diverted from landfills. Petoskey Plastics then uses this GreenPE® recycled resin to produce new eco-friendly plastic bags and film products, much of which goes into the Greencore® product line.

Our goal is to include recycled materials to the greatest extent possible, whenever possible, in our products.

Commitment to Sustainability
Year after year, we rethink our processes, re-evaluate our standards, and recommit ourselves to a cleaner world.
We have relentlessly pursued cleaner manufacturing by adding more recycled content to our products and increasing efficiency – and we help our customers do the same. Through our quality labs and procedures, we are constantly refining blends to create high-performing products made of high percentages of recycled material while meeting high expectations from our customers and those in the plastics industry.
